Catherine Tuckett is Head of Legal Execution for the Financial Risk Solutions team at Liberty Specialty Markets, the international specialty division of Liberty Mutual insurance group. She has worked in the team for over 8 years in different underwriting, structuring and management roles, with a focus on non-payment insurance transactions for commercial banks, public agency and other non-bank financial institutions, across a wide range of asset classes and structures. Catherine has also managed the portfolio solutions part of the business, which provides bespoke solutions that respond to clients’ specific regulatory capital or balance sheet optimisation needs; and has led on the underwriting of a number of SRT and other securitisation trades for different clients over the past 7 years. Catherine is a qualified and practising solicitor (England & Wales) and has prior experience advising financial institutions on a broad range of multi-jurisdictional transactions in both private practice and in-house at a bank. Her role also entails supporting the global team on legal issues, including drafting/negotiation of policy wordings; transaction due diligence, structuring and execution; and she is very involved in bank and insurance regulations impacting credit insurance. Catherine has 14 years’ experience working in law, finance and insurance.
